We follow a strict data minimization principle. We never sell your data to third parties.
Account Data
- Email address and display name (for authentication)
- Hashed password (we never store plain text passwords)
- Subscription tier and billing status
Usage Data
- Aggregated screen time statistics (app names and durations)
- Block rule configurations you create
- Streak and progress data
- Device information (platform, device name, last heartbeat)
Family/Group Data
- Sharing codes and connection relationships
- Task assignments, completions, and proof submissions
- Daily limit settings managed by controllers
What We Do NOT Collect
- Browsing history or specific URLs you visit
- Personal messages, photos, or files
- Location data
- Contacts or call logs
3. How We Use Your Data
- Service Delivery: To provide screen time tracking, content blocking, and family management features
- Account Security: To authenticate you and protect your account
- Notifications: To send block alerts, streak reminders, and task notifications (configurable)
- Improvement: Aggregated, anonymized statistics to improve our blocking database and features
4. DNS-Level Protection
EasyBrick uses DNS-level filtering to block content. This means:
- We resolve domain names to determine if they should be blocked
- We do not inspect the content of your web traffic
- We do not log which specific sites you attempt to visit
- Only the count of blocked attempts is recorded, not the destinations
5. Data Sharing
We share data only in these limited cases:
- Family/Group Controllers: If you link your account to a controller, they can see your screen time, tasks, and daily limits
- Infrastructure: We use secure cloud hosting providers who process data on our behalf under strict agreements
- Legal: If required by law enforcement with valid legal process
We never sell, rent, or trade your personal data to advertisers or data brokers.
6. Data Storage & Security
- All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256)
- Passwords are hashed using bcrypt with salt
- JWT tokens expire and are refreshed automatically
- We conduct regular security audits
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access: Export all your data from Settings
- Delete: Delete your account (7-day grace period to cancel)
- Modify: Update your profile and preferences at any time
- Object: Opt out of non-essential notifications
- Portability: Download your data in JSON format

8. Children's Privacy
EasyBrick's family features allow parents to manage children's screen time. Children under 13 must have an account created and managed by a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 without parental consent.
9. Cookies & Local Storage
Our web dashboard uses local storage to keep you signed in (authentication tokens). We do not use tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or third-party advertising cookies.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
